Banda Boase chief grateful to NDC gov’t for infrastructure development

Odeefour Dua- Bata- Bour Ligbi Wullotei II, Chief of Banda Boase, has praised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for its ongoing infrastructure development efforts aimed at improving the lives of his people.

Speaking at a community gathering held as part of a thanksgiving and familiarisation tour by Mr Ahmed Ibrahim, Member of Parliament for the Banda Constituency in the Bono Region, the chief expressed his appreciation for the visible progress made in just one year since the NDC assumed office.

“In just a year since the NDC was voted into power, our community has seen a wave of development projects,” Odeefour Wullotei II said.

He highlighted several ongoing and completed projects in Banda Boase, including a six-unit classroom block and staff quarters for the Banda Boase D/A Junior High School, a 10-seater water closet facility now 90 percent complete, a new police post with four residential quarters, and a polyclinic project scheduled to begin in January 2026.

The chief thanked the MP and the District Assembly for their commitment to bringing transformational change to the area.

He also appealed for the completion of the long-awaited road project, which stretches from Wewa Junction through Banda Boase to Nsawkaw, describing it as a major challenge for the community.

In response, Mr Ibrahim assured the chief and residents that the current projects were only the beginning, saying what they have seen so far is just the start, because there was much more to come.

He also announced that, starting from the next academic term, schoolchildren in the community would benefit from the government’s school feeding program.

Mr Ibrahim reaffirmed the NDC government’s commitment to the people, assuring them that under President John Dramani Mahama’s leadership, no community would be left behind.

Addressing the road concerns, the Mr Ibrahim explained that efforts were being made to address the necessary issues to ensure that work can resume on the project.
