Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has called on all candidates sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to avoid all forms of exam malpractice.

He encouraged them to maintain integrity, stressing that victory is sweeter and applause louder when earned fairly. Bagbin reminded candidates that their future leadership role depends on how they perform during this critical examination.

“Your ability to lead Ghana tomorrow starts with how well you conduct yourselves today,” he said.

Bagbin assured candidates of Parliament’s continued support for their growth and development as future leaders.

According to the Ghana Education Service (GES), 603,328 candidates, including 297,250 males and 306,078 females, will sit for the 2025 BECE, which runs from June 11 to June 18.

The GES has dispatched all exam materials and timetables to centers across the country and says it is fully prepared to ensure a smooth and credible process.

In a statement to the candidates, the Speaker said:

“Dear BECE Candidates, I send you my warmest wishes for success. The BECE is a defining moment in your life. I know how hard you’ve worked for this, and I assure you that your dedication won’t go unrewarded.”

“Parliament stands with you. Go and claim the glory. I wish you resounding success.
