The National Democratic Congress (NDC) newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso East, Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed, has fully pledged to work together with the media as he resumes his new role in his quest to reset the constituency.

According to the astute lawyer, he is ready to form a strong partnership with the media, urging them to be constructive in their reportage.

He reiterated that the media should put them right when they are wrong while they do that in a good and professional way.

In his victory speech on Tuesday, Baba Jamal expressed his gratitude to the media for their support and continuous dedication throughout his campaign.

“For all these years that the press has been chasing and working with us, and I understand that sometimes late in the night you follow us, thank you for your support. I want to believe that I will form a partnership with the press as we reset East Ayawaso. We are going to work together. “Kindly correct us when we are wrong, but do that in a good, proper, and professional way,” he said.

The former High Commissioner to Nigeria beat off competition from NPP’s Baba Ali Yussif, Liberal People’s Party (LPP) Ibrahim Iddrisu, and two other independent candidates, Mohammed Umar Sanda and David Kanor, respectively, to resume his new role.
