The Awudome Traditional Council will commission completed projects and cut sod for the construction of an eight-unit classroom block for the Anyrawasi E.P. Primary School as part of efforts to improve educational infrastructure in the area.

The event, scheduled for March 2, 2026, at the premises of the Awudome Traditional Council at Anyrawasi, is expected to bring together government officials, traditional leaders, and community members.

Togbe Nutefewola I, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament and a native of the Awudome Traditional Area, will lead the ceremony, alongside Togbega Addai Kwasi Dzani XIII, Paramount Chief of the Awudome Traditional Area.

The sod-cutting ceremony forms part of broader government efforts to expand access to quality education and provide a conducive learning environment for pupils, particularly in underserved communities.

Mr. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister, is expected to attend and reaffirm government’s commitment under President John Dramani Mahama to prioritise education and rural development.

The Regional Minister is expected to commend the President for his continued investment in educational infrastructure and policies aimed at improving learning outcomes across the country.

Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, Member of Parliament for Ho West, will also be present and is expected to highlight the importance of collaboration between government and traditional authorities in advancing development.

The Awudome Traditional Council said the classroom project would help address infrastructure deficits in the school and improve teaching and learning conditions for pupils and teachers.
