The Majority Leader in Parliament, Mahama Ayariga, has dismissed what he describes as attempts by some individuals to scandalise the government over issues relating to the security services recruitment process.
According to him, certain persons are deliberately trying to create a scandal even when there is none, stressing that such efforts will not succeed.
Mr. Ayariga said the government remains open to scrutiny and supports an open inquiry into the matter to establish the truth.
He explained that the inquiry would help determine whether any minister or official of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has any interest in the information technology company undertaking the recruitment process for the security services.
The Majority Leader emphasised that the government has nothing to hide and is committed to transparency and accountability in the management of public affairs.
