Atebubu College of Education (ATECO) chapter of the Tertiary Education Confederation Network (TESCON) of the New Patriotic Party has condemned the recent physical attack on the party’s Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer, Kwame Baffoe (Abronye DC).
The youth wing of the ruling MOP has described the incident as primitive, unfortunate and call on all descending Ghanaians especially the members of the NPP to condemn the act.
In a press statement signed by ATECO TESCON president Mr. Mohammed Gadafi Alhassan “it is very sad and disheartening when such issues pop up within our own party and at a time when the president and the leaders of our party (NPP) have vehemently condemned similar act perpetrated by other individuals within and outside the party”
“This is indeed an act that is uncalled for, out of order and immoral and therefore must be condemned by every individual from the top to the bottom in our great elephant party” – he added
Mr. Alhassan has urged the party members and leadership to bury any individual differences and shun violence.
“Again, we would also like to use this opportunity to call on the party leaders and every party member to eschew any difference that exists between us and remember that, we are members of the same family -N.P.P. and as such, every issue that may come up must be solved amicably and not with violence.”
“We would also want to use this medium to advice and create the awareness of the Youth in the party to desist from being used for political violence, and remember that, the future of the party and the nation in general lies on our shoulders.”
