Nsawam- The Nana Asare Kofi Asona Mensah Family of Akropong, Akwapim in the Eastern Region led by Head of the Family Mr George Asah Bekoe and the Principal Elders has cautioned the public against unauthorised land transactions involving parcels of land located at Odomase, Kwadwo Fosu, Warabeba and Okanta.
The family therefore calls on the public to engage directly with them regarding land ownership and transactions in the aforementioned areas.
In a statement issued by Mr Lawrence Asante Ahenkorah of De-Georges Law Consult on behalf of the family and copied the media, it stated that the land in question, measuring approximately 2,047.06 acres (828.43 hectares), is situated within the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality and belongs to the Asona Mensah Family.
The statement referenced two legal rulings by the Circuit Court in Nsawam, Suit Number A1/42/22 dated 4th November 2022 (George Asah Bekoe vs. Kwasi Prince and others), and Suit Number A1/18/23 dated 5th July 2024 (George Asah Bekoe and another vs. Samuel Adi Afari and another).
Following these rulings, the land was duly registered with the Lands Commission in Koforidua under Registration No. LVDEREST53221477/2024.
The statement indicated, the public is therefore advised that all dealings concerning the said land must be conducted directly with the Nana Asare Kofi Asona Mensah Family, through its recognized Head of Family, George Asah Bekoe.
The family emphasised that any individual or organisation that fails to transact with them directly does so at their own risk and the family will not be held liable for any losses incurred as a result.
