Bismarck Kpobi, Special Aide to the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has clarified that the ongoing thank you tour by the party’s National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, is primarily aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots, internal structures, and government coordination.

According to Mr. Kpobi, the tour is not centred on personal gains or material benefits but rather on consolidating the party’s base and reinforcing unity within the NDC following its electoral engagements.

He explained that the initiative is designed to appreciate party supporters, executives, and stakeholders whose efforts contributed to the party’s activities and overall political performance. He stressed that the focus of the tour is largely organisational and governance-related.

“Chairman Asiedu Nketia’s thank you tour is purely about the base, the party, and government. Any other issues or expected benefits are tertiary matters,” Mr. Kpobi stated.

He further noted that the tour provides an opportunity for the National Chairman to interact directly with party members, listen to their concerns, and gather feedback that will help improve party operations and governance delivery.

Political observers believe the exercise is part of the NDC leadership’s broader strategy to maintain party cohesion, energise grassroots supporters, and strengthen collaboration between the party and government structures.

Mr. Asiedu Nketia, who has been actively engaging party faithful across various regions, is expected to continue the tour in other parts of the country as part of efforts to solidify the NDC’s internal unity and long-term political agenda.
