Asiedu Nketia
Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called for patience among party members concerned about the pace of action against alleged corrupt appointees from the previous administration under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on Accra FM, Asiedu Nketia acknowledged growing concerns about delays in prosecuting individuals accused of wrongdoing.
He noted that while some are frustrated by what they perceive as a slow process, the government is deliberately taking its time to gather solid evidence that can hold up in court.
He cautioned against rushing into prosecutions, explaining that premature legal action could allow accused individuals to escape accountability due to lack of sufficient proof.
Instead, he encouraged party faithful to trust in the due process and assured them that justice will be served in due time.
Asiedu Nketia reaffirmed the government’s commitment to cleansing the system, stating that corrupt officials from the previous government will not be shielded from accountability once the necessary legal groundwork has been completed.
