Ashaiman gives Mahama 90 percent

John Dramani Mahama garnered a total of 1,787 valid votes after today’s presidential primaries in Ashaiman, representing about 90 percent.

Alban Sumana Bagbin, Nurudeeen Iddrisu, Sylvester Mensah, Ekwow Spio Garbrah and Joshua Alabi polled two, three, three, 16 and 41 votes respectively.

Stephen Reynolds, the Ashaiman Municipal EC officer, announced the results, which sent the supporters of John Mahama wildly jubilating at the center, Celestial School Complex.

The total valid votes cast were 1,854 of 1,856 votes cast. Two ballots were declared invalid.

The exercise was very peaceful with the police personnel at the center having no cause to worry.
