Arise Ghana, a national interventionist group, has announced that it will present its independent assessment of the President John Mahama-led NDC government’s performance in its first year in office.
In a statement signed by the group’s Secretary, Mr. Richard Kasu, the assessment press conference, titled ‘Independent assessment of the John Mahama government’s first year in office” to be held on 7th January, 2026 at the International Press Center in Accra.
According to him, the presentation aims “at evaluating the government’s progress on key campaign promises and policy initiatives, including the economy, ORAL, education, healthcare, energy, and governance, among others.”
“This independent review provides an objective analysis of the government’s commitment to its manifesto promises, key deliverables, challenges, and recommendations for improvement,” He said
“We strongly believe that one year is enough to review the social contract between the government and the people,” he added.
Mr. Kasu has since called on stakeholders in the governance space to get involved in this important exercise.
“By this release, we call on all stakeholders to get involved as we assess the performance of the John Mahama-led NDC government’s first year in office.” – he said
