CHAIRMAN WONTUMI MUST RETRACT AND APOLOGIZE TO DR. HILLA LIMANN AND HIS ADMINISTRATION.
I read with total shock and disbelieve to a publication on “ghanaweb” on the 13th of June, 2017.
The headline of the said publication reads ” Rawlings could have plotted coup against Mahama- Wontumi.
According to Bernard Antwi Boasiako, ” the former president would have enough justification for a coup since the corruption in the [ads1]erstwhile Mahama government was worse than what occured under late Hilla Limann in 1981″
I am highly abashed, disappointed and scandalized by the unfortunate statement by Chairman Wontumi who is acting as a serial caller and a political novice who lack proper political and historical facts, who must come to reconcile with the truth.
Dr Hilla Limanns administration was recklessly overthrown by young Rawlings who thwarted the vehicular engine of growth and development path of transformation Ghanaians were ushered into by the then administration.
Chairman Wontumi must appreciate simple political fact that the house cleaning exercise propagated by Rawlings and his cohorts made the house that he foully occupied more dirtier.
The principles of probity and accountability by Rawlings was nothing home to write about since he never subjected hilmself to such ideals.
The corruption tag by Chairman Wontumi to Dr Limann’s administration is not only mischievous but fictitious, aimed at diverting the attention of well meaning Ghanaians to the lofty promises that they shortchanged us with at the 2016 polls.
Chairman Wontumi must be schooled into learning that No member nor appointees of the 54 ministers under Limann’s administration was indicted by any court of competent jurisdiction after his overthrow which suggest that his statement is false and out of place.
Dr Hilla Limann continues to be the only true democrat as referred to by political science lecturers and historians.
Dr. Hilla Limann epitomizes the past we must learn and future we must aspire when it comes to proper democratic governance.
Dr Limann protected fundamental human human rights without political influence and interference.
I hereby give chairman Wontumi “one week” to apologize to Dr Hilla Limann and his administration else he risk attracting our wrath.
