Agreement reached for #DumsorMustStop vigil to come off in June

Information reaching this portal has it that a peaceful resolution has been reached between the Ghana Police Service and the organizers of the #DumsorMustStop vigil, pushing the date for the protest to June.

The vigil has been given a new date with the protest now set to come off on June 8, 2024.

Conveners of the vigil, including Yvonne Nelson, Henry Osei Akoto and Selorm Dramani Dzramado have been working assiduously and collaborating with the Police Service to ensure a safe and successful demonstration.

The final arrangement was reached on a secure route, giving participants the green light to exercise their right to assemble and protest.

The #DumsorMustStop vigil aims to put the government on its toes to find pragmatic measures to end the erratic power outages in Ghana.

According to convenors, the forthcoming protest is a demonstration of the people’s resolve to hold their leaders accountable for the country’s growth and development.

All Ghanaians have been urged to participate in this national exercise to demand accountability from their elected leaders.
