The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Agotime Kpetoe District in the Volta Region, Alfred Eklu Odikro, has led staff of the Assembly to a town hall meeting with chiefs and residents of Agotime Akpokope, as part of efforts to strengthen community engagement and participatory governance in the district.
The meeting held on Friday, provided a platform for open and constructive dialogue, during which community members shared their concerns, expectations and key development priorities. The Assembly, in response, reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, inclusive development and sustained collaboration with traditional authorities and residents to drive local development.
Following the engagement, the DCE and his team inspected ongoing works on the Akpokope D.A. Junior High School classroom block as part of routine project monitoring activities. During the inspection, previously identified defects were revisited and formally communicated to the contractor, who was directed to carry out the necessary corrective works within the stipulated timeframe to ensure quality delivery and value for money.
According to the Assembly, the exercise underscores its dedication to accountability, quality assurance and the provision of sustainable educational infrastructure aimed at improving teaching and learning conditions across the Agotime-Ziope District.
