Agotime Traditional Leaders Engage Roads Minister Over Key Road Projects

A delegation of traditional leaders and opinion leaders from Agotime, led by the Member of Parliament for Agotime-Ziope, Hon. Charles Agbeve, has paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Roads and Highways to discuss critical road infrastructure challenges within the area.

The visit, which took place on February 4, 2026, was spearheaded by the Konor of Agotime and supported by prominent traditional authorities and community leaders, including Nene Akoto, Nene Mahumasuro, Nene Dapaah, Chief Linguist of Agotime Joe Ahiatsi, Fiator Elikem Agbo, Aku Sika Kpene, Elvis Ativoe, Mr. Agbozo, and other stakeholders from the Agotime traditional area.

Discussions during the meeting centred on the deplorable state of roads within the Kpetoe township, as well as the proposed construction of the 9.8-kilometre road stretch linking Agotime Beh to Agotime Afegame. The delegation emphasised the importance of the projects in enhancing transportation, promoting economic activities, and improving access to essential services within the municipality.

According to the delegation, the Minister for Roads and Highways, gave firm assurances that the government has taken note of the concerns raised and will ensure the construction of the identified road projects.

The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts by local leadership and government officials to address infrastructure deficits and improve the living standards of residents in the Agotime-Ziope enclave.
