Africa has what it takes to bring prosperity to its people – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Akufo-Addo has reiterated that Africa has all the resources within itself to transform the economies and bring prosperity to its peoples.

As today 25th May 2021, marks Africa Union Day, the president issued a message to Ghanaians and all Africans, wishing them the best. In his Africa Day message, he said “as I indicated to the Pan African Parliament on Monday, 24th May 2021, we have it within us to transform our economies and bring prosperity to our people. So let us join together to make it possible within our generation, and let us work together towards fulfilling, in our time, the pan-African dream of a united Africa”.

“I extend best wishes to all Africans, on the occasion of Africa Day. COVID-19 not-withstanding, and, in spite of the many challenges confronting our continent, I believe strongly that Africa is capable of unleashing the considerable energies and huge potential of her peoples so that we make our own unique contribution to the growth of world civilization”.

He also called on all Africans to rededicate their energies, within the confines of the African Union’s Agenda 2063 titled “The Africa We Want” to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
