The Member of Parliament for Afadzato South Constituency, Hon. Frank Afriyie, has continued his post-election thank-you tour to several communities within the constituency, reaffirming his commitment to grassroots engagement and inclusive leadership.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, January 13 and 14, 2026, the MP, accompanied by constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), paid courtesy visits to the communities of Tove, Avetome, Agboglidome and Abayeme – this is according to a statement released by the NDC Constituency Communications Bureau
At each stop, Hon. Afriyie expressed profound gratitude to the people for their overwhelming support during the 2024 general elections, which he described as historic for both himself and the NDC. He acknowledged that his victory was made possible solely through the confidence and trust reposed in him by the electorate.
The MP assured residents of his readiness to serve with humility and dedication, stressing that his leadership would benefit all communities across the constituency, regardless of geographical location or traditional boundaries.
Touching on national governance, Hon. Afriyie explained that the “Reset Agenda” of the John Dramani Mahama-led government was already yielding positive results, particularly in the reduction of prices of essential commodities. He urged constituents to remain patient and hopeful as broader economic gains continue to materialize.
As a token of appreciation, the MP made cash donations and presented soft drinks to each of the communities visited. He also provided an open platform for residents to share their concerns, expectations and development needs, assuring them of his commitment to addressing their grievances.
Residents, in turn, expressed immense joy at the visit, noting that it was the first time a sitting MP had returned after elections solely to say thank you. They commended Hon. Afriyie for his humility and early impact, describing his approach as refreshing and people-centred.
The communities encouraged the MP to remain steadfast in his development agenda, expressing confidence that his leadership would help lift Afadzato South out of long-standing socio-economic challenges
