ABORSCO Marks 60 Years of Excellence with a Week-Long Celebration

Abor Senior High School (ABORSCO) in the Volta Region is commemorating its 60th anniversary with a series of activities aimed at celebrating its legacy and reaffirming its commitment to quality secondary education.

The anniversary celebration, scheduled from February 13 to February 22, 2026, will take place on the school’s campus at Abor and is expected to bring together alumni, students, staff, traditional authorities, and other stakeholders in the education sector.

The celebration is on the theme:
“60 Years of an Impactful Journey: Providing Transformative Secondary Education through Indigenous Values and 21st Century Skills.”

According to the organisers, the milestone offers an opportunity to reflect on the school’s achievements over the past six decades, honour the contributions of past and present educators, and strengthen partnerships that will drive the institution’s future growth.

Founded to provide accessible and value-driven secondary education, ABORSCO has over the years built a reputation for academic excellence, discipline, and the nurturing of responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to national development.

The week-long programme will feature a variety of activities designed to celebrate the school’s heritage, reconnect old students with their alma mater, and inspire current learners to uphold the institution’s ideals.

The anniversary is also expected to highlight the role of indigenous values in shaping education while equipping students with relevant 21st-century skills to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

The celebration is being held under the school’s slogan, “ABORSCO – Arise and Shine,” with a call on all stakeholders and well-wishers to participate in the historic event.
