The Ghana Education Service (GES) has kept mute over several weeks on the purported Senior High Schools 2023 transitional academic calendar on social media.
This made the general public as well as parents whose wards are yet to be admitted into SHS one so worried. They are contemplating as to whether they should wait until GES come out with an official calendar or to comply with the calendar circulating online.
The 2023 transitional academic calendar circulating online revealed that the reporting date for the incoming SHS one students is February 20, 2023.
These worries will soon come to past as the Ghana Education Service (GES) has scheduled a Consultative Meeting with stakeholders to discuss the 2023 academic calendar for the Senior High Schools in the country.
Confirmed in an invitation letter dated January 6, 2023, with reference number GES/S&ID/MSCL/2023/003 and signed by Patty E. Assan (Mrs), Director, Schools and Institutions Division, the Consultative Meeting between the Ghana Education Service and stakeholders is scheduled to come up on Thursday, 12th January, 2023, at 10:00 am and the venue to be the Director General’s Conference Room.
Meanwhile, the yet to be admitted SHS1 students are still waiting for their respective Senior High Schools placements whiles the SHS3 and SHS2 students have repopen for the first semester on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
It is therefore hopefull that the confirmation of the 2023 academic calendar will officially be released by the Ghana Education Service after the Consultative Meeting.
