A young man whose name has been given only as Gaddafi has been shot dead in Yendi.
Gaddafi is believed to be a staff of Ghana Audit Service in Tamale. The young man is believed to have been shot last night after custodians of Dagbon settled on Yoo Naa Abdulai, Chief of Savelugu as the new Yaana.
Unconfirmed information gathered indicates that late Gaddafi was killed in Yendi when they tried preventing the new Yanaa from entering Katini last night.
Meanwhile, curfew was last night imposed on Yendi Municipality and it’s surrounding villages by the Interior Ministry. The curfew hours are from 5PM- 7Am.
Two persons are in the grips of the police for possession of AK47 rifles.
