1 cedi, 2 cedis phone payment useless; the youth need jobs – Mahama lambasts Bawumia

John Dramani Mahama has criticized Vice President Bawumia’s proposal to assist Ghanaians in buying smartphones on credit.

Mr. Mahama questioned the relevance of such a plan in light of the pressing issue of youth unemployment in the country.

He emphasized that Ghanaians need job opportunities rather than credit plans for smartphones. Mahama reaffirmed his commitment to transforming a future NDC government into a job creation powerhouse, with efforts focused on generating employment in both the public and private sectors.

During a rally with the chiefs and people of Nabdam in the Upper East Region, Mahama made it clear that he would not offer proposals for purchasing smartphones on a 1 cedi or 2 cedis payment plan, as suggested by Vice President Bawumia. He argued that the current administration has significantly failed despite their claims of having the right people for the job.
